The Israeli Air Force has destroyed the last remaining aircraft of Yemenia Airways in an airstrike on Sana’a International Airport, the capital of Yemen. The 12-year-old Airbus A320-200 (7O-AFF) was hit and destroyed shortly after completing a flight from Amman, the capital of Jordan.

Sana’a International Airport had only resumed operations last week following runway repairs from previous strikes.

Yemenia Airways announced: “Following the strike that occurred just minutes before boarding, we are suspending all flights from Sana’a until further notice.” With the loss of four aircraft valued at a total of $130 million, the airline no longer has an active fleet based in Sana’a.
